Bassano del Grappa is one of the most beautiful and varied flying areas in Europe – mountainous slopes and relatively gentle slopes at the same time – a combination that combines “mountains and foothills of the Alps\/flatlands”: ideal for flights for pleasure pilots, budding cross-country pilots and experienced XC pilots.<\/span><\/p>

Our trip is designed to introduce novice cross-country pilots step-by-step to the secrets of successful and safe XC flying, while experienced pilots are encouraged with specific tasks and opportunities to maximize flight time without KM constraints.<\/span><\/p>

We focus on each individual and their abilities and provide personalized tips and feedback. By means of a questionnaire and interview, we pick you up exactly where you are and accompany you to your goals on this trip so that you take home an instructive and eventful memory. <\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

<\/span>Bassano offers several launch sites on the Monte Grappa massif. However, we will also explore launch sites in the region to get to know the diversity of the individual areas. <\/span> <\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

How do we do that<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Before the trip, you will receive a questionnaire about your flying experience and your goals. We also analyze some of your flights in advance so that you get a clear assessment of your current level. The week on site builds on these findings. <\/span> <\/span><\/p>

After the trip, you will receive a personal debriefing with all your notes, tips and feedback on your goals. We will provide you with this as a digital handout (PDF). It contains an initial assessment, an evaluation of your XC week and recommendations for your further flying development. <\/span> <\/span><\/p>

<\/span>Individually and to the accommodation, meeting point approx. 17:00 (approx. 5 -6 hours by car from central Switzerland).<\/span>
Material check, instrument check, radio check<\/span>
Cozy get-together.<\/span> <\/span><\/p>

Flight days, Monday 30.03. – Easter Monday 06.04.2026: <\/span><\/b>
<\/span>Morning debriefing the day before,<\/span> with a focus on experiences, key points, individual challenges – takeaways for the following days – feedback on the individual pilots and visualizations of individual flight phases. The focus is on the exchange of knowledge and experience. <\/span> <\/p>

Followed by a briefing flight day,<\/span> with a focus on meteo, flight technique tasks, XC planning for small flights and for larger flights, and always with the idea that we can go flying and don’t have to. <\/span> <\/span><\/p>

Fly, fly and fly….<\/span> <\/span><\/p>

Depending on the time of landing, there is a second flight in the late afternoon or an evening flight. <\/span> <\/span><\/p>

Dinner and recounting of the experiences. Short feedback round on the individual experiences. This also serves as input for the debriefing on the following morning.<\/span> <\/span><\/p>

Departure Monday, 06.04.2026: <\/span><\/b>
<\/span>Short morning flight either in Bassano or on the way back home. There will be different options depending on the mood of the individual participants. <\/span> <\/span><\/p>
