This Code of Ethics is intended to help you as a paraglider pilot to behave in a safe, responsible and respectful manner. It serves to maximize your safety and that of others, to protect the environment and to promote harmonious coexistence.

1. Safety and a sense of responsibility first and foremost
2. - Always put your own safety and the safety of others first. Do not take any unnecessary risks and follow the safety regulations.
  - Use suitable equipment and check it regularly to ensure that everything is working properly.
  - Check the weather conditions critically and compare the forecast with the actual prevailing conditions before take-off. If in doubt, stay on the ground rather than being in the air and wishing you were on the ground.
3. Respect and courtesy
  - Respect other pilots and people on the ground. Do not disturb anyone and follow the flight rules. Help to promote the positive image of paragliding in the public eye.
  - Be polite and helpful, especially to beginners and inexperienced pilots and landowners.
4. Environmental awareness
  - Protect nature and respect the environment in which you fly. Do not leave any garbage behind and do not harm nature. Garbage can also be taken away if it does not belong to you. Be a role model.
  - Respect airspaces, protection zones and local agreements
  - Support sustainable practices and encourage others to do the same.
5. Sense of responsibility
  - Take responsibility for your own actions. If you make a mistake, admit it and learn from it.
  - Help others to improve their flying skills and develop further.
6. Continuous learning
  - Keep your knowledge and skills up to date and improve them. Take part in training courses and follow new developments and technologies.
  - Share your knowledge with others and support joint learning in the community.
7. Respect for local communities
  - Respect the locals and the culture in which you are flying. Avoid causing disturbance or inconvenience.
  - Build good relationships with local communities and support them wherever you can.
8. Fair Play
  - Play fairly and honestly. Do not cheat and do not try to gain advantages at the expense of others.
  - Respect the rules of the competition and your competitors.

These guidelines help to maintain a high standard and a positive community experience among paraglider pilots. They should help you as a paraglider pilot to fulfill your responsibility towards yourself, other pilots, the environment and society. Adhering to these principles is an essential contribution to promoting safe and responsible paragliding. Always keep them in mind and strive to be a role model for others.
