What to expect

On this day we will take time in the morning to look at the various aspects of safety when paragliding and during a SIV:

Technical aspects
Mental aspects
Pilot skills, maneuver instruction
General information & rules

In the afternoon we will take a closer look at your equipment. We will check the following:

General condition of your equipment
Your harness settings
the functionality of your rescue system
You will also receive the SIV equipment from us if you take part in one of the following SIV practice days (life jacket, buoyancy aid, waterproof bag, radio, helmet cover)

Finally, you train all upcoming SIV maneuvers in our simulator

Location of the simulation day: touch and go shop in Dallenwil

ATTENTION! Have you never been to a SIV with us before? Before flying on our SIV practice days, participation in a SIV briefing & simulation day is mandatory.

Program

9:00 am: Meeting at the touch and go store
General SIV instruction
11:00 a.m.: Maneuver briefing
12:30 p.m. Lunch break
13:30 Individual equipment check and maneuver simulations in a group of 2-3 pilots
approx. 18:00 End of the day

We are convinced that these simulations, which you will carry out in the afternoon, are crucial to mastering the SIV maneuvers safely and precisely. In the simulator, we are always at your side and can observe and optimize even the smallest details to avoid possible mistakes. These preparation exercises are also very important for the human brain. They help you to train and internalize the correct movement sequences. This will develop your muscle memory, which will noticeably improve your performance during actual flights.

The course takes place in all weathers. If you have to cancel the course, the cancellation conditions in our GTC apply.
